This course is designed for students who have completed a Stage 1 QQI level 5 Certificate in Early Learning and Care (5M21473). If you already have a level 5 Certificate 5M2009 in ECCE you may be eligible to enter Stage 2 – talk to the course coordinator for more information. Applicants will be required to undertake Garda Vetting.
Educational Progression:
Students can gain entry to a wide range of courses at various Technological Universities. There are reserved places in SETU for TCFE graduates. Students also to to TUS. Students can also access the Higher Educational links scheme.
Employability Statement
The successful completion of the Early Childhood Care and Education Level 6 enables applicants to source employment in the Early Years or Special Needs Sector in a range of skill areas to include. Supervisor, Nursery Nurse, Residential Childcare worker or Team Leader Early Years Educator, Coordinators, Advisory Worker in Childminding and Special Needs coordinator, Special Needs Assistant Team Leader with focus on working with Children.
