For Whom?

This course is for adults and Post Leaving Certificate students who wish to pursue a career in landscaping and horticulture, gardening enthusiasts, and those who have an interest in the outdoor life.

The aim of this programme is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and competency to pursue a career in hard and soft landscaping.

Employment Opportunities

On successful completion of the course, applicants are able to source employment with landscaping architectural firms and landscaping construction companies. They can also work in Garden Centres and Nurseries as advisors and horticulturalists

 Educational Progression/Employment Opportunities

This course provides entry to QQI Level 6 Horticulture and to QQI Level 6 Golf and Sports Turf Management in Templemore College. Students can also gain entry to a wide range of science, applied science, horticulture, and forestry courses at third level through the Higher Education Links Scheme.
