For Whom:

This course is for adults and Post Leaving Certificate students who wish to pursue a career in landscaping and horticulture, gardening enthusiasts, and people who have an interest in the outdoor life. Normally students have
completed a relevant Level 5 award.

The aim of this programme is to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and competency to pursue a career in hard and soft landscaping, garden design, business management and market gardening.

Employment Opportunities 

On successful completion of the course, applicants are able to source employment with landscaping architectural firms and landscaping construction companies. They can also work in Garden Centres and Nurseries in supervisory positions.  Alternatively  many graduates choose to operate their own market gardening businesses.

There are reserved places for TCFE students in BSc(Hons) Forestry BSc Horticulture BSc Horticulture (Botanic Gardens Dublin). Students can also gain entry to a wide range of science, applied science, horticulture, and forestry courses at third level through the Higher Education Links Scheme.
